The problem
The customer meetsone company. Mostare run as eight.
Brand sits with one partner, the website and app with another, content with whoever is free. Each piece may be good. The customer, who experiences all of it in an afternoon, meets something that doesn’t add up.

Brand templates
Four of ten brandswe built from the market up.
The four brands in the film above, each with a market analysis, a brand system, an operating model and a growth plan. Every one is fictional and labelled. None is client work, and the numbers are targets, not results.
Himalayan Co.
A premium sparkling and still natural mineral water bottled near a Himalayan spring, sold in heavy glass to fine dining, luxury hotels and premium homes.
Tsuyoki
A streetwear label shaped by Tokyo after dark: heavyweight garment-dyed cotton, Japanese technical nylon and a reflective night seam, made in small numbered drops.
Cadence
A screenless health and fitness band worn 24/7, sold on membership. It tracks heart rate, HRV, sleep, strain and recovery around the clock, and the app turns all of it into one recovery score each morning.
Sushi Baka
A Japanese café chain: hand-rolled sushi at the counter, matcha whisked to order, fruit sandos and dorayaki, served in calm spaces framed by Mount Fuji at dusk and the pink of a Japanese autumn.

Brand, experience, content, campaigns and conversations go live together.
You see: the work, sequenced.

The journal
What the best brandsactually did.
55 case studies of real campaigns, packs, billboards and launches, with the numbers that were publicly reported and what we take from each.
Share a Coke
Coca-Cola replaced its own logo with 150 first names. The pack became the message, and the campaign spread to more than 80 countries.
PackagingPackaging · CampaignsWhopper Detour
Burger King sold a Whopper for one cent, but only if you ordered it on the app while standing near a McDonald’s.
Digital & SocialUI/UX Design · CampaignsNot Just a Cadbury Ad
During the pandemic, Cadbury used machine learning to let Shah Rukh Khan promote small local stores by name.
Digital & SocialCampaigns · InfluencerGood marketing isnot more noise. It is better signal.
Strategy before decoration
The work starts with what should change, not with what should be produced.
One system, not vendors
Brand, experience, content, influence, campaigns and conversations reinforce each other or they cancel out.
Craft with commercial intent
Design should look excellent and do a job. We judge the work by both.
